Thank you N4CSGA!
Dear N4CSGA, I’ve struggled to find the words to describe how I am feeling and what I would like to say to each of you.
For starters, I would like to say that I thoroughly enjoyed the events of the conference this weekend and would like to recognize my teammates, advisors, hotel staff, our host school Wake Tech, and any additional volunteers who made this weekend happen.
While my term has been short, I am incredibly grateful for the experience I have had leading each of you and serving 700,000 other students. A year ago today, I would have told you I had no interest joining the N4CSGA. Not because of ill feelings towards the organization, but because of a lack of confidence within myself. Today I write to you as your strong, passionate, vocal, inspiring, and confident President and I owe it all to n4c.
I am beyond proud of my executive board and advisors for their consistent drive to lead this organization to success. Entering the year as a four student endeavour, I never would have thought we would reach where we stand today. I am truly proud of each of you for your leadership and thankful for the opportunity to serve alongside each of you as I have changed and grown as both a leader and individual thanks to your presence in my life. Regardless of where this next chapter takes us, I trust we will cross paths again and I truly am a cheerleader for each of you.
To the delegates, I encourage you to keep pushing. Keep fighting for what you believe in, keep advocating for others, keep thinking outside of the box, and continue dreaming beyond the ordinary. Whether you are graduating or this is your first student government experience, please don’t let your journey end here today. Take what you have learned this year, the connections you made, and bonds you have forged and apply them to your lives. Whether you're pursuing a political career, you’re completing workforce training, or preparing for medical school like myself. Your experience as a leader truly shapes you into the type of person you will develop to be.
While my tenure is nearing the end, I am proud to call myself your President and will continue supporting you today, tomorrow, and after my term expires in may. Congratulations to the newly elected board members. I can’t wait to see how you inspire progress. I couldn’t be prouder to leave the organization in the hands of my truest and most sincere friend @Bannock Scott.
You’ll do great buddy.
