Randolph Community College SGA Spotlight

Outstanding Leadership In Fostering Cultural Awareness and Inclusivity
The Student Government Association (SGA) at Randolph Community College has demonstrated outstanding leadership in fostering cultural awareness and inclusivity on campus. RCC's Fall Festival, themed Around the World: A Celebration of Cultures, brought the campus community together with vibrant decorations, diverse cuisines, and music inspired by all seven continents. This festival celebrated global diversity and provided students with a unique opportunity to learn about different cultures in an engaging and interactive way.
In addition to the fall festival this school year, the SGA has collaborated with the college’s Student Life team to honor recognition opportunities like Hispanic Heritage Month and Native American Heritage Month. These initiatives showcased the SGA’s commitment to highlighting the rich diversity of the college community.
By researching and understanding the backgrounds of their fellow students, SGA members have succeeded in creating events and opportunities that celebrate inclusivity and foster understanding. Their efforts reflect their dedication to making the college a welcoming place for everyone.
